The "A" word has been used!

Austerity! Austerity measures are sure to come! And this even coming from some democrats! We've spent ourselves into a hole and measures must be taken!

Union pensions and salaries have a number of states either bankrupt or near bankruptcy.

Austerity measures went into effect in Greece and the socialists who've lived their lives off the government rioted in the streets.

The same thing happened in France when school tuitions were raised and salaries cut.

And now we have liberal progressives calling for rioting in the streets here and we've barely even considered austerity measures.

The simple fact is that, as Christians, we had better start considering the idea of caring for our own elderly.
