Man-made hunger and want!

I've been writing about it for years and it gets worse every day! Starvation and want in the midst of plenty!

We see this, another example, from the Associated Press;

"SOLAN, India -- Sunil Sharma, a young tomato farmer in northern India, must navigate decripit roads, corrupt policemen and blazing heat to deliver his produce in an unrefrigerated truck to New Delhi's wholesale vegetable market.

India is plagued by malnutrition and soaring inflation, but it's not for lack of food. It is the world's second largest grower of fresh produce, but loses an estimated 40 percent of its fruit and vegetables to rot because of the kind of problems Sharma faces every week.

During one recent journey trucking tomatoes for himself and two other farmers to the capital, he was stuck for three days.

"Of the 350 crates of tomatoes I started out with, I could salvage only around 150 crates. The rest had turned to pulp," a despondent Sharma said.

Post-harvest food losses of the scale found in India are a problem throughout the developing world and translate into lower incomes for farmers and higher prices for consumers. Inflation is already undermining living standards across Asia with world food prices at record highs since December last year, according to the U.N. food agency.

In India, home to more than a third of the world's 150 million malnourished children younger than 5, food inflation reached nearly 10 percent in July.

"It's criminal neglect on the part of the government to allow this volume of wastage," says Biraj

Patnaik, an adviser to India's Supreme Court on food policy. "Just cutting back on the waste would make such a dent in bringing down food inflation, making food more affordable, and hence, available to poor families."

At a busy New Delhi market, shop-owner Raj Kumar polishes his vegetables with a drop of oil on his duster. Shiny purple eggplants, bright green beans and golden lemons beckon middle-class shoppers.

But around the corner from Kumar's brightly lit shop lay the food that had arrived there wilted and rotten: a heap of beans turning gray, mushy eggplants and blight-blackened potatoes.

"I throw out vegetables every day. What can I do with them? Nobody wants these," he said.
Savitri Debi, a housewife with two teenage children, says she is shocked and angry at the mass of vegetables thrown away by shopkeepers.

"Vegetable prices keep going up and up. But look at the amount that is wasted," says Debi as she shopped for groceries. "It just makes me so angry that every day this place has mounds of rotten vegetables, when we can barely afford to buy potatoes."

The government, as well, has expressed horror and frustration at the rot. It has begun work on a strategy to cut post-harvest losses by building modern grain silos, cold storage warehouses and setting up farmers' markets in remote areas to link vegetable growers with retail outlets in the cities, Food Minister K.V. Thomas told The Associated Press.

Plans are also afoot to assign special -- though not refrigerated -- railway wagons to transport vegetables on a priority basis to modern warehouses, he said.

But for Ranvir Thakur, a farmer in the agriculturally rich Solan district of Himachal Pradesh 200 miles (320 kilometers) north of Delhi, the government's efforts seem all too far away.

"Growing vegetables in India is a risky business," Thakur said as he tried to find a buyer for a truckload of his almost table-ready tomatoes and capsicums at the bustling vegetable market in Solan.

"We face the risk of vegetables rotting at every stage -- whether in the field, on the road, or in the markets," says Thakur, his weather-beaten face grimacing as he recalls recent losses.

The fetid odor of decaying vegetables hits the visitor to the 'mandi' or wholesale market in Solan nearly a hundred meters (yards) away from its massive gates. The mandi, the first point of sale for local farmers, was crowded with farmers, traders, commission agents and truckers surrounded by thickets of plastic crates stacked atop each other in shaky towers.

Hundreds of vegetable and fruit trucks reach the wholesale market each morning. Commission agents trawl the narrow alleys between the crates, looking out for the best bargains. Deals are struck, crates of vegetables-- color-coded to indicate the owner-- are auctioned in a high-decibel exchange and swiftly heaved onto trucks by a swarm of sweating musclemen.

Trader Balwant Singh says the paucity of refrigerated trucks means that delays at state border crossings, traffic jams, or the frequent landslides that clog hill roads can wilt and rot vegetables.
"There are only one or two trucks, belonging to private firms, that are refrigerated. The rest are open trucks, with tarps or plastic sheets for cover in case it rains," Singh said. "By the time we put up the tarps, the vegetables are soaked, and these begin to decay when we hit the heat and humidity in the plains."

Some believe allowing supermarket giants such as Walmart, Tesco and Carrefour to operate in India's multibillion-dollar retail market could succeed where the government has failed. They are keen to move in, sign contracts directly with farmers, use refrigerated transport and storage to reduce waste and bypass the middlemen.

Their entry so far has been blocked by government restrictions out of fear they will wipe out millions of small grocery stores in India. A government panel last month recommended allowing up to 51 percent foreign direct investment in multi-brand retail on condition that at least half the investment is made in back-end infrastructure such as cold storage chains and warehouses. A decision by the Cabinet could take several months.

Sharma, the young tomato grower, says the vulnerability of the farmers is exploited by road transport inspectors who demand bribes for trucks to enter neighboring states.
"The worst is when we enter Delhi. Police and transport officials hold up the trucks for hours at the toll gates till we pay up."

Sharma said he pays a bribe of 1,500 rupees ($33) for his truck every time he crosses into New Delhi on his way to Azadpur Mandi, one of Asia's biggest wholesale markets.

Spread over 90 acres in northern Delhi, Azadpur Mandi is a nerve center of India's fruit and vegetable trade. Trucks, cars, horse-carts and bicycle-driven carts are parked haphazardly in an ankle-deep mix of mud and putrefying vegetables.

Heaps of produce that is overripe and unlikely to withstand further transportation are tossed aside, crushed underfoot, or dumped in the mandi's overflowing garbage site.

When Sharma's truck arrives, a gang of loaders surrounds it. After a quick agreement, a trio of workers begins disgorging its contents. It's soon evident that delays have cost Sharma heavily.

"We'll barely recover the cost of hiring the truck. Such a large amount has spoiled," said Prem Singh, Sharma's trader at Azadpur Mandi.

Now consider please that much of India's grain crops are literally eaten every year by rats because in many areas the rodent is worshipped! HUMAN children go hungry because a rat is more important!

Can Americans throw stones at India? I think not since we would rather have healthy wildlife than healthy children! Since American businesses discard tens of thousands of pounds of non-perishable grocery items per week! From the shelf to the landfill!

Farmers in the United States are regularly regulated out of business by USDA and EPA bureaucrats in an effort TO FORCE THEM TO GROW LESS FOOD!

This is done for a host of reasons not the least of which are food safety and saving the earth! Some idiot doesn't was the lettuce or the carrots before making salad and it's the farmer's fault! Another idiot builds a home next to a truck farm and whines to the government about the dust!

Likewise we have more oil and coal than any other country in the western hemisphere but are unable to retrieve it due to government restrictions for reasons as insane as "oil platforms and windmills ruin the sunsets" and "solar farms disturb the pristine sand!"

In the midst of plenty we pay insane prices for gasoline! In the midst of plenty food prices and waste in this country grow every day!

The developer and land speculator wants more water so he can line his pockets so he buys enough political clout so water can be looted from rural agricultural and ranching communities and pipe it straight to his latest money maker! In the mean time more farms and livestock operations move to other countries making the United States more dependent on imported food!

Uh, excuse me! Have we learned nothing from importing our oil?

Hunger and want in the midst of plenty!

And still we sleep!

Just one gallon of ice cold milk! That's how far the average American is away from not having enough food in the house! We take so much for granted!

I saw this week that a small can of evaporated milk is up to a dollar!

Just five years ago who would have imagined that!

How much food do you have in the house?

Did you know that more than 80% of the world's people don't have enough clean water to drink?

There is coming a time when famine will touch American shores!

Man-made, man-caused famine! Not because of some crop pestilence but because we, the American people, were convinced by our government that we should grow less food! We are buying more food from other countries now than we grow here!

THAT, folks, is an invitation to disaster!

Worldwide Holodomor

I sit here at 4:25 and haven't dressed to go outside yet. I've been washing clothes, sweeping and mopping floors all day. I prepared my mother's meals and disinfected the shower with vinegar.
Meatballs, brown gravy with onion bits and garlic, and buttered fresh vegetables for supper is pretty good eatin'!
So how could there be famine in a world of plenty? Worse yet how could there be a world-wide famine?
Ask yourself this very important question: what has been the majority cause for famine related death in the last two hundred years?
Drought? Crop pestilence? Well, while these were contributors indeed the vast majority of deaths from hunger have been caused by the worst of the worst: man!
Greed has caused the uneven development of urban areas where water and food resources are scarce. Land speculators continue to promote the sale of home properties where they know there isn't enough water!
Solution: use government to "appropriate" water from rural areas(mostly farming and ranching areas) and pipe it off to the golf courses and swimming pools of those people with the political stoke to demand it!
While telling developers to build, government tells rural areas of the world bear the brunt of the sacrifice for that development.
When the governor of a state like Texas feels funding the looting of rural water resources more important than school books for our children one can only wonder at his ambition to be president!
While the people of the Ukraine had bumper crops of grain they were literally starved to death when famine was used as a tool of the politically powerful! Millions died! Literally starvation in a land of plenty!
The insane cruelty and monstrosity of man!
In the 50s millions of Chinese people died in yet another man-made famine when the People's Liberation Army went into rural agricultural China and confiscated food supplies from those who labored to produce it!
In the United States we have a U.S. Department of Agriculture that is doing it's best to force farmers to produce less and food producers to mass produce(sic)! Just like we have a Department of Energy doing it's best to force, through regulation, oil companies to produce less oil.
In a land of plenty there are more and more people going hungry!
Drought in Somalia is a horrible thing! And it's also a cruel joke on the people of Africa! There is more than enough technology to alleviate drought conditions through drilling of wells, better agricultural practices and industrial innovation so that no one need die! However, war, political power, greed and simple stupidity rule the day! Somali pirates even take the ships bringing famine relief to the region!
Throw in the terrible spectre of Islam and death follows quickly!
I can only wonder at any goofball president who'd consider bringing these people into a...I was going to say "more civilized nation" but we have butchered more than 50 million of our own children in abortion mills so who are we to talk?
50 million children who would be working, paying taxes and supporting the Social Security ponzi scheme! So who will pay into that system in another ten or twenty years? Who will feed the "unproductive" described so by Hillary Clinton? Who will feed "useless eaters" described so by overall communist/socialist society?
When a black president like Barak Obama supports the genocide against black, Hispanic and Native American children one can only wonder why so many people of color support him! And then wants to import more Somali to re-inforce the wild-eyed Somali gangs growing in many urban areas! Kill the innocent/import the insane?
Yes! worldwide holodomor is coming! It was foretold in the bible and it shall be so!

A sign of progress or disaster?

36 million pounds of turkey recalled! And despite the fact that it is still safe if cooked properly, it will be destroyed!

As the state and federal governments continue their unholy quest to shut down small meat markets and meat processing plants, the huge corporate packing houses fail the public again, proving me right once again! Further centralization of the food processed in this country is leading to food shortages, waste on a grand scale and hunger!

Bent on the destruction of America!

Who? Who! Who is bent on the destruction of America?

Well, we know the children of Islam want the destruction of America!

We know the mainstream news media want this country's capitalist economy replaced with a socialist utopia!

We know from their writings and rantings that the vast majority of academics in higher education want a Cloward/Piven type breakdown and replacement of capitalism!

However, I was speaking of our Muslim-in-Chief, Sheik Barak Hussein Obama!

Oh and his entire administration!

This week, despite the serious and deadly danger along the border, we have seen border patrol agents told to use non-deadly bean bag projectiles that cost a border patrolman his life!

After that supervisor was fired he should be horsewhipped!

We have seen the Department of Homeland Security, an oxy-moron under this president, fail to implement measures to stop illegal immigrants driver's licenses!

Anything to put Americans at greater risk!

I find it interesting that the "democratic revolutions" in the Arab world have all happened in countries usually friendly to the United States! Now one can only wonder how soon radical Islamists will usurp those revolutions?

I also find it interesting at how this administration has provided aid and comfort to the Muslim Brotherhood in their efforts to replace secular dictoators with religious ones!

All around the world Christians are coming under more intense attack and this administration, and the last one for that matter, has remained silent!

World food and water crises are spreading in the midst of a time of plenty! Manmade, politically engineered famine! Genocide on a grand scale!

Most Americans have no more than a weeks supply of food in the house and usually more than half of that dependent on refrigeration.

Most Americans not only don't garden but are at least two generations from ancestors that knew how to garden!

One can only look back and wonder at how, during the Great Depression, people looked after and helped one another. I'd say simply because they had a biblical world view. And today, thanks to our present education system and pastors who refuse to speak up and preach, we have two generations that have grown to adulthood without that biblical world view.

And so...then one must wonder how people will be treated during the upcoming greater depression?

We have a sheik/president who has not only decided to violate his oath of office by not defending the Defense of Marriage Act but turned and defended the New Black Panthers who intimidated voters, both black and white at polling places!

Our nation is in deep trouble! Our futures are literally owned by China and Saudi Arabia who owns most of our national debt!

Chuckle! And the republicans actually believe the very small cuts they've proposed will fix the problem! Blows my mind!

In 2008 we were told by the U.S. Department of Transportation that we had more than a trillion dollars worth of bridges that needed repair or replacement and stimulus money was actually spent on bridges for turtles!

We saw this administration hire census workers and lay them off and re-hire them so they could count the jobs twice!

While our president was meeting with the Pope, assuring him that he wanted less abortion, his administration was pushing abortion around the world!

Under Sheik Obama's watch the Untitd States has aborted it's fifty millionth child! We have literally butchered the two generations necessary to pay the social security benefits of the baby boomer generation!

And worse yet, there are still Christians who support this administration! One can only wonder about their interpertation of "Thou shalt do no murder!"

Oh wait! Problem solved! Gee whiz, why didn't I think of it earlier? The next generation can just kill off the baby boomers with euthinasia. Isn't that what death panels are for? Chuckle! It's almost laughable that liberals still claim there are no death panels in Obamacare!

And we have seen uncounted, uncurbed inflation eat up the buying power of the average working people, the poor and social security recipients!

Yes, indeed we got "change" onder the Obama administration!

I can't honestly say, "God help America!" Simply because we have butchered 50 million innocent children and the blood of those babies cries out from the ground to the Lord God! And the Lord will never bless a nation that turns it's back on Ys'rael and that is what we, as a nation, are doing!

It is, therefore, incumbent on every Christian to support Ys'rael, with our voice, our prayers and our money! Do it or be judged for it!

Ah, yes! Filthy criminals! Kill them all!

New EPA Regulations Have Dairy Farmers Crying Over Spilled Milk
Posted: 6/10/2010
"New EPA regulations have some Northern Michigan dairy farmers crying over spilled milk.

The Environmental Protection Agency intends to classify milk as a hazardous waste; in the same category as oil.

That means, farmers would have to come up with an oil spill prevention plan which could cost them thousands of dollars.

The Senate Agricultural Committee passed a resolution today urging the EPA to take back those regulations.

Chivon Kloepfer and Photo Journalist Corey Petee have more details in this report."

From the same enviro-wackos that gave us deep water drilling and the global warming myth we now see that milk is hazardous waste!

Another strike at the food chain by very educated, elitist wackos steeped in the doctrine of Malthusian eugenics!

Famine in America?

Not possible? Can't happen here?

Get real! Wake up! It can and will happen here! As you read this we are just one nation-wide social uprising away from famine in this country!

Try these ten reasons on for size;

First, you need to understand that there has not been but a couple of modern day famines that were not contrived by man as a tool of war or as a means of attaining a political objective!

Second, this country, for the first time in modern history, became a net food importer in 2007! We have obviously learned nothing from importing our oil!

Third, there has been a gradual shift away from large crop yields in order to "save the earth!"

Fourth, in the name of food safety truck crop production has gotten more expensive and will eventually put small truck crop farming operations out of business.

Fifth, this nations transportation system is very delicate and depends on foreign oil to run the trains, trucks and farm equipment. Any major disruption of that system could increase the cost of food dramatically overnight.

Sixth, Americans, even rural Americans, have gotten away from gardening and canning. No time! And it's cheaper to buy it at the super Wal-Mart! The problem is that we've forgotten how!

Seventh, Americans have mostly ignored government advice to store and rotate non-perishable food items. Harumpf! One of the few times the government does indeed give good advice and we ignore it!

Eighth, the majority of bulk seed for farming is controlled by fewer and fewer large corporations like Monsanto and DuPont. May I suggest you look up their world views on politics?

Ninth, food production and processing has moved farther and farther from the average consumer. Reliance on the above mentioned transportation system. That shelf at the Safeway store with the canned peas? Well, there is likely NOT a few cases of those peas back in the warehouse in the back of the store! Those peas very likely came palletized straight off the truck last night and will be replenished again tonight!

Lastly, the big cities will suffer first and the suffering there will be the worst! Large concentrations of people mean a serious need for a stable transportation system. PEOPLE! WE DO NOT HAVE A STABLE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM!

Thanks to the EPA being run by a bevy of environmental extremists for more than 20 years, through the administrations of both political parties, we have pushed offshore oil exploration way out into deep waters where a spill disaster was inevitable. While we have vast amounts of oil reserves we do not take advantage of it to save the earth! We have lowered crop production in the face of an increasing population. We have made farming too expensive and unprofitable an enterprise for the next generation to get into! While we have vast quantities of coal reserves we have failed to use it in order to save the earth!

When our overly delicate transportation system fails a family breadwinner making $100,000 per year could go overnight to being hungry and unable to feed his children! How naive we seem to be!

"A solid smile covers the prickly anxiety Adrianna feels each time she steps into the growing crowd outside of New York City’s Hopeline. Just like 23% of the clients the Feeding America network serves, Adriana is a college-educated individual trying to do the best she can for her family. Twelve years have lapsed since her ailing 83-year-old mother first moved in with the former embalmer. Today, Adriana struggles to take care of both herself and her mother after losing her job three years ago when the company she worked for moved to Connecticut. As she searches for a similar job, her life is consumed by the numerous odd jobs she must take in order to tend to her mother’s needs.

'I want to go back to my profession because I went to college for three and a half years and I worked very hard. I don’t think it’s fair that I have to come through the food line if I’m willing to work,' she says somberly of her position. Adriana refuses to go on welfare, seeing herself as a healthy and educated individual who just doesn’t need the program. It’s why coming to the food pantry caused her a great deal of inner turmoil. 'You have to do what you have to do,” she states as a matter of fact, “and that is why I am here.'

This new chapter of her life doesn’t define the person Adriana knows that she can become. She spends most of her days searching for new jobs in her field, diligently fighting an uphill battle. 'When you send in an application for a job, the job is there, but there are so many other people waiting in line for that job…. I never thought I would have to be in this position, but if it happens to me, it can happen to anyone.'

The disappointing job climate does not dismantle Adriana’s fortuitous demeanor. She knows she can get her family out of its rocky predicament, and maintains that, 'This is just a bad patch I am going through right now, but I will get back on me feet.'"

Adraina's story comes from one of a growing list of feedamerica-type websites that are doing a wonderful job of trying to wake Americans up to the problem of hunger in this country!

Get this through your head! Famine is coming to America! It'll be here much sooner than we think!

My personal opinion is that every household should have at least one year's worth of non-perishable, regularly rotated food on hand at all times.

Look at the photos! Try and visualize the heartbreak of a mother unable to feed her child!

Christianity vs. socialism

TRUE Christianity, taught by true ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ, is about, after acceptance and public acknowledgement of Jesus as one's only salvation and Way to the Father, service and giving.
Service and giving! I have an almost irresistable urge to serve and give to others. Especially to those I know are in need. It's almost a compulsion! I will often give the last penny I have to those in need. Any true Christian will feel the same. With Jesus in our heart in the person of the Holy Spirit, we instinctively want to give, to help, to serve, to supply and provide.

On the other hand, socialism is more about coveteousness and taking. A man works hard all his life to provide for his children and grandchildren-to leave a legacy of provision. He plans ahead and wants to be a good provider for his family and along comes socialistic government, looking at all he has ammassed and takes a share of that and gives it to others THEY feel need what he has worked for!

Government, by force of arms TAKES what one man works for to give to another man! I went out to the garden yesterday and picked vegetables. I moved the water hose. I walked over to the orchard and turned on a valve to water the pecan trees. I moved a soaker hose to water the grapes and figs. From the sweat of MY brow and MY labor I shall eat fresh squash for lunch.

If I decide to sell some of my produce and crops I will take the money I make and drive to town. I'll buy some gas for the truck. I'll buy some cheese to go into the squash. I'll buy some seed and other groceries. That is what capitalism is all about. Buying and selling. Making a profit. Spending that profit by investing in more seed for the fall crop.

Socialism seeks to take a larger and larger portion of my profits to give to other people. Many of whom do not sweat or work for themselves. And THEY work only to put more socialist-thinking people in office to provide themselves what I work and sweat for!

As primary caregiver for my mother I am unable to leave the house for more than a few hours at a time so I visit construction sites and ask for salvage materials. The more metals and useable wood and building materials I haul off and recycle and reuse the more money the contractor saves because he pays by the ton to have it hauled away. I picked up a stainless steel hand rail to help keep my mother from falling tonight at 9:50 PM out of a construction dumpster. I seperate and sell the metals I don't keep for my own projects and save the other building materials for those projects. I pick up large amounts of cardboard to add to my brush pile where I burn building materials and use a magnet to glean metals from the ashes and recycle them.
By the sweat of my brow I have made work, created income from work others will not do. It helps the environment, keeps materials out of the landfill which helps the community, provides me nearly free building materials, does away with a large amount of waste and creates commerce. It's very hard, grueling work!

And I do all of this while caring for my aging mother and raising crops to feed both myself, my mother and people I sell and give my produce to. Capitalism at it's finest.

And yet, my property taxes went up again this year while the actual selling price of land and real estates has either remained static or dropped. Socialist government wants it's cut of the work I have done.

There is a strong Christian value that those who do not work do not eat! That's the way it should be. Socialism has a SIMILIAR value but it doesn't care much for those who do not produce! My mother is 74 years old and about the only thing she can produce is prayer for her children and grandchildren! Prayer is a valuable commodity to the Christian faith but is useless to the socialist.

A friend and hanger-on around our president, Ezekiel Emmanuel, has said that "useless eaters" are worthless. To Emmanuel, my mother is a useless eater and therefore worthless. Our president Barak Obama has told the American people to judge him by the people around him! And he has surrounded himself with radical socialsits, communists, fascists and sexual perverts.

My conclusion is that what I love the most; sweating and hard work providing for myself and others around me-others in whom I see a need, is deemed a bad thing by the average socialist and it must be stamped out! Stamped out how? By taxing me out of business and allowing my mother to go uncared for until she's gone!

True Christianity is about service and giving, true socialism is about one coveting what another has worked for and taking it by force of government and giving it to whomever HE deems deserving! True socialists believe in the central government planning and distribution of resources it takes through confiscatory taxation to both themselves to people THEY wish to give it to!

China suffered from this very thing between 1958 and 1961. The People's Liberation Army went into the rural areas of China and confiscated foodstuffs grown by the people and hauled it away to the cities and fed themselves and people THEY deemed worthy to survive. Literally millions died due to socialist central planning! And during this time the Chinese propaganda machine was hard at work as we see in the photo! Socialism is a work of deception!

In 1932 and 1933 the Soviet Army rolled in to the bread basket of the Soviet Union, the Ukrane, and confiscated every scrap of food they could find! This act by the Soviet government is still remembered as Holodomor! And thanks to socialist central planning, literally millions of people in a land of plenty starved to death! People who worked and sweat to produce, to provide were rewarded for their labor with Holodomor!

Lastly as we examine the differences between true Christian principals and socialism let us look at the direction THIS nation is headed! In 2007, for the first time in modern history, this country became a net food importer. The USDA is promoting agricultural practices that push American farmers to grow less food. Much of Texas' winter garden has moved over the border to Mexico. Our production and processing of foodstuffs and meat products has moved away from the consumer. Our foodstuffs are dependent on a fragile transportation system and Americans have moved away from gardening and growing their own food. In the name of safer food the USDA is promoting a program called "Farm to fork." Google it! This p[rogram alone will drive up the cost of food!

Christian, biblical principals are all about service and giving and socialism is all about taking and distributing! Are YOU a useless eater? And who is worthy to decide when another becomes a useless eater? Think about it!
