Care Packages

Boxes or bags, I'm always in the process of packing a care package. Send them through the mail to loved ones, to people who don't like me, to people who've trashed me but especially to people I know need them!

While I'm a fiscal conservative I remain a classic liberal in a lot of ways.

I see a homeless person panhandling I've got a small pack in the truck for them.
A few non-perishable food items, some personal hygene and basic camp stuff. A stamped envelope with a piece of blank paper and a couple of dollars.

Whether he/she's a drunk or needs money for cigarettes is none of my business. My obligation stops at the offering!

Why? It's the right thing to do!

I don't give to political organizations. I like giving to people where I see a need!

Bragging? Boasting?

No, just encouraging others to do the same!

Wouldn't it be nice if we relied on one another instead of big daddy government?

The founding fathers never intended for government to do what we should do for each other.

Statistically speaking, I find it more than amusing that conservatives oppose most government programs for the poor but give of themselves quite liberally.

Liberals tend to be very conservative with their own dollars but support giving away other people's money!

Ah but then I'm amused at a lot of things these days!

Even confrontation doesn't do the trick!

Confront the average progressive liberal on matters of politics and I think you'll be surprised! Liberals and conservatives write about each other all the time. Especially in the blogs which breed a new brand of unflappability I won't even go into.
However, for the sake of clarity, I'm speaking of eye to eye contact. Confront a liberal progressive with, "...well, we have to pass it so we can see what's in it." A, now, infamous quote by Nancy Pelosi.
Know what you're gonna see? The majority of the time you'll see eyes glaze over and an attempt to deflect the subject or outright change the subject. Ya see they were born with the same common sense everyone else has but, and sadly, it was educated out of them in many cases. It also has a lot to do with pride and the more education they have ammassed the the less tendency to admit they've done something horribly stupid in their support for an idiot who'd make such a statement.
Confront the average promoter of the global warming hoax/scam with the actual scientific and anecdotal facts of the matter and you'll see the same thing. Oddly enough in some cases you'll get that all-knowing, very sympathetic and condescending look and hear something about the documentation is all there...yada,yada,yada!
Never mind the fact that the "hole in the ozone layer hoax" which helped get the ball rolling on the larger global warming hoax has been disproven by the simple act of examining the molecular weights of the chemicals involved. Never mind the fact that the majority of the scientific protocols used to determine the theory have been called into serious question and lastly,(er...laughably) Al Gore is nowhere to be seen right now! And yet, unflappably, there are still those die-hard few who claim, while shivering in record cold, that we are suffering from global warming!
These silly goof balls have latched on to a belief system and in their eminant, highly educated wisdom, are going to uphold their pride and stick to it!
Kind of like that last lemming who follows those tens of thousands over the cliff knowing what the end will be!

I'm just an old fashioned guy!

Yup, I'm just an old fashioned guy at heart! I saw on KENS 5 News in San Antonio tonight that a repeat offender was found taking photos of children at a public swimming pool. Thirty days in the public stocks and then horsewhip him on the Bexar County courthouse steps! He gets caught again, hang him in the courthouse square!
Problem solved!

Wife beaters, child abusers and perverts get thirty days in the stocks! Then horsewhipped! Guess what? When accountability finally comes back to the criminal, crime goes down!

Perverts like the one Obama appointed as the safe schools czar get thirty days in the stocks and then horsewhipped! Guess what? Then we'll have safer schools!

Murderers and capital crimes get a public hanging in the courthouse square in the county where they committed the offense! Guess what? Less murders!

Judge lets a child molester off with community service? Horsewhip the judge!

Rapists get thirty days in the stocks and horsewhipped! Second offense, they get hung!

The federal government objects? Escort them to the border of the state and give them a free bus ticket to Washington! One less liberal bozo! Folk, this very thing is on it's way! It's not far off!
