Make your own laundry soap! How many out there are tired of buying laundray soap and every time you turn around the bottle gets smaller and you see that "2Xs concentrated" but when you pour it in the washing machine it seems soupier than the last time?
Make your own! Buy a box of Borax Laundry booster, some hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and various types of shampoo you pick up at garage sales. Use a grater and grate up a couple of bars of Ivory soap and you're on your way to washing much cheaper!
Oh and by the way, powdered laundry soap from Mexico costs about 1/3 what American liquids do!
Save about five empty milk jugs. Add a cup of Borax to each. Grate up one bar of Ivory soap per gallon and add to two 10 quart cooking pots. Heat the water up. Don't biol it. Add 1/2 cup of peroxide and 1/4 cup of baking soda. Pour this heated mixture into the five gallon jugs. Add the shampoo to each.
You can pick up shampoo and bubble bath really cheap at second hand, resale shops and garage sales. This makes excellent laundry presoak too!
Just another way to survive times that are only going to get harder!
However, the Lord did not make his children to endure the times to come!
King David said, "I have been young and I have been old and I have never seen the righteous forsaken of his seed begging bread!" Use the money you save to feed someone!
