Just a cranky old 49er!

No! The end IS in sight!

No! The end IS in sight!
"And in those days there will be signs in the heavens!"

Who wrote the National Anthem?

"The only thing necessary for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing!" I shall not be silenced! I shall demand truth! "Any thought left unchallenged is established as fact!" The thought that this is a "Muslim nation" is a lie! I shall challenge any insane individual that makes this claim! Nor were the founders of this nation and the framers of the Constitution deists!
My Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, was and is the living Son of the living Jehovah God! Allah is not "just another name for the Jehovah God Jews and Christians worship!" Allah is a god fabricated by the Prophet Mohammed and is celebrated in the Qu'ran as a "great deceiver!"

What if...just what if...

What if...just what if...you were well-bested in a discussion concerning just about any subject...or...were proven to have lied or...perhaps...been factually incorrect about something you maintained as fact?
What if there were no personal consequences?
Consequences! I've been facing them all my life! "There's that SOB Schustereit!" I was called at breakfast one morning by a County Commissioner because I dared ask where some money went that an oil company gave the county for road repairs.
Oh, and there was the County Judge who entered false accusations about me into county records because I drew up a poster saying that anyone on county court who failed to support the troops should be horsewhipped and run out of town! Chuckle!
I SIGNED MY NAME TO IT! ENJOYED IT TOO!
However, today, in the world of anonymous blogging on is able to carry on an endless argument, be absolutely incorrect in whatever assertion, and just keep on keepin' on!
That is the world of blogging today and sadly it's the world embraced, nay, encouraged by my local paper, the Victoria Advocate!
This is cute; a fella named John Figer wrote a letter to the editor using numbers, I asserted, he knew were incorrect. I wrote a comment behind the letter asking where he got the numbers. Didn't answer. Asked again. No answer! Five more times I asked and no answer and then all of my comments were pulled. I called to ask why and was told I was "taunting!" I was told this by a fresh graduate of journalism!
Are we gettin' the picture yet?
Anonymity breeds cowardice and encourages the unflappable!

Multi tasking! I hate it!

I'm tired! I boiled up 10 pints of fig preserves today! Oh...and while doing that I cleaned house, mopped, swept, put toys in 2" capsules for my vending machines, made breakfast and lunch for mother, called the home health folks and ordered needful stuff for mother, turned valves in the orchard, disinfected the shower, gave mother her meds and I will be skinning the insulation from copper wire the rest of the evening in order to bring in some kind of income for today.

Sitting here writing this is really a little break. I did manage to hear that Muslim Democrat Congressman Keith Ellison whined that Republicans have no respect for women. Chuckle! This coming from a man whose religion advocates female genital mutilation, honor killing and beatings!

Tried to cook some meat from the local HEB store and for the third time in a few weeks the beef was too tough and inedible for even mother's lapdog!

And no surprise here; the meat from Wal Mart is just as bad! Did notice that Wal Mart and HEB, both, are downsizing the products in the packages while the prices increase.

Turned on the radio and found more inept, silly stuff concerning ethanol! Not being a fan of ethanol I still tire of the idiots out there saying ethanol takes food out of the food chain! Do these idiots think after the alchohol is extracted the corn mash just disappears? Dopey!

That corn mash goes right back into the food chain as animal feed! Sooooo, why is animal feed still rising when there is an abundant supply of it? Because people BELIEVE there's a shortage!

America is indeed in trouble! The USDA is working very hard to get farmers to grow less and as the population increases! Americans are growing farther away from the production of the food they eat every day! Most have forgotten how to either garden or put away a small supply of non-perishables!

People have too much time on their hands! Unproductive time not working! The idea of silly idiots fighting over a place in line to see the Casey Anthony trial is a testament to America's lost values and common sense!

Oops! Back to work! Also gotta put a new deck belt on the lawn mower!

There's a sucker born every minute!

This man, using the Cloward/Piven framework, is set about to destroy this nation! By the continued bankrupting of our economy, the continued butchering of the next generations of taxpayers in abortion mills and the bolstering of class warfare, this nation is finished!

DALLAS — "Thomas Pohl ran out of the test strips he needs to check his blood sugar weeks ago.

When the 67-year-old diabetic tried to get more, Pohl learned he'd have to pay for a three-month supply. Medicare has long provided these critical diabetes supplies for free.

"I was just not able to make the co-pay when I went in there to get them, so I went out and walked out without them," Pohl said. "As a result, I have not checked my blood sugar since about the 13th of June."

What's more, Pohl learned he could only get enough strips to test his blood sugar once a day, instead of twice, despite his doctor's prescription.

The new limits and charges for diabetics who don't take insulin are part of supply cuts designed to save millions of Medicare dollars.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are more than 25 million diagnosed diabetics, which means there's a lot of money to be spent — and saved — on diabetic supplies.

According to the new regulations:

"Medicare Part B covers the same type of blood sugar testing supplies for people with diabetes whether or not they use insulin. However, the amount of supplies that are covered varies. If you use insulin, you may be able to get up to 100 test strips and lancets every month, and one lancet device every 6 months. If you don't use insulin, you may be able to get 100 test strips and lancets every three months, and one lancet device every six months. If your doctor says it is medically necessary, Medicare will allow additional test strips and lancets.

"Medically necessary" means that services or supplies are needed for the diagnosis or treatment of your medical condition and meet accepted standards of medical practice.

These new federal changes affect every pharmacy and Medicare diabetic in the country. At Parkland Memorial Hospital, many patients have voiced concern and confusion about the new rules."

Rationing has started!

And to those folks who voted OBAMA: Sucker!

And sadder yet, to those who still support the unknown creep from corrupt Chicago: You're all insane!

About as insane as the suckers who campaigned for McCain!
